On January 30, 2025, Vladislav Lavrik returned to the Jena Philharmonic for his second appearance with the orchestra, following his debut in Jena in 2022, when he conducted Sergei Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 6.

For his return, Lavrik conducted a Romantic programme featuring Antonín Dvořák’s Violin Concerto with acclaimed Armenian violinist Diana Adamyan as soloist, followed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 3 “Polish.”

The evening concluded with a particularly personal encore. Lavrik exchanged the conductor’s baton for the trumpet to perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Air” from Orchestral Suite No. 3. He dedicated the performance to his daughter Anna, who was celebrating her birthday and was present in the audience — a musical gift from father to daughter and a personal conclusion to his return to Jena.
